Deadly Axis Firepower
Enter the Panzer-Kampfläufer III! This hulking medium combat walker is the brainchild of none other than Sigrid Von Thaler and the latest innovation from the Axis – a massive, heavily armored behemoth of walking devastation. Designed to last, its hull plating is thicker and more resilient than any other medium walker before it. All three configurations of the Panzer-Kampfläufer III come with six hit points and five or more armor, and Axis generals intend to take advantage of the walker’s fantastic durability to reinforce their command of the territory they’ve managed to win in Zverograd.
The first configuration of the Panzer-Kampfläufer III is the Flamm-Luther, a lethal combat machine at close range. With its twin Schwer Flammenwerfers, the Flamm-Luther is a complete terror to enemy infantry, most of whom can scarcely penetrate its armor. Indeed, its flames burn hot enough that the Flamm-Luther is capable of melting most walkers in a single blast.
For those generals seeking to maintain the Axis’ long-standing advantage in ranged warfare, Axis engineers have also developed the Panzer-Kampfläufer III into two Wotan configurations, each of which sports two massive laser cannons. The Wotan and the Wotan-AR are effectively identical, except for the armor reinforcements that make theWotan-AR one of the toughest walkers in the game – weighing in with a massive six armor for just sixty-seven points!
Maintaining SSU Morale
Across the city, the SSU remain undaunted by the introduction of the newest Axis walker. After years of torturous warfare, the soldiers of the SSU understand the nature of service and sacrfice, and should any of them begin to doubt their cause, the Commissars of the SSU Commissar Squad are ready to squelch fear and dissent.
Commissioned to maintain morale and direction within the troops, the SSU Commissar Squad presents SSU players with fantastic control over their army builds. Playable as a highly-potent unit with Assault, Badass, three UGLs, and a bazooka, the five Commissars of the SSU Commissar Squad can also splinter and join your other squads much like heroes.
A Commissar joined to a squad shares its skills just like a hero does, and it adds its weapon lines and hit points. Sometimes, the difference between victory and defeat can come down to one man, down to a single hit point, and a Commissar can ensure that the other members of your squad survive to complete their mission. Even more, you can join both heroes and Commissars to the same squads, lending both steel and flexibility to SSU infantry.
